Keeping water inlet at constant pressure

Problem:

Whenever the water supply pressure in the plant is not very stable, the regulation of the cooling water flow rate during efficiency tests, or the one of the flow rate in domestic hot water deliveries, can become very difficult.

Solution:

SerPiCo improves the testing procedures, assuring a constant supply pressure for the inlet water, compensating both pressure variations of the plant and differences in the flow rates demanded by the test bench.

The pressure at the outlet of SerPico is controlled by a compressed air system, which ensures a very quick answer as to compensate even fast changes in the inlet pressure or in the outlet flow rate.
The system performs a much better stability than ordinary constant level water tanks, placed at a height of some meters.
This allows to push furtherly the parameters of the closed-loop controls of the test bench, as for instance the PID controls of temperatures or flow rates, obtaining fast responses in the regulations.
Moreover, constant level tanks are not able to provide high pressures, because of their limited height while Serpico can easily reach pressures of some bars, which means higher flow rates can be obtained.
This feature allows using a single Serpico even for more than one test bench in parallel.
The pressure range is 0-8 bar.
